Alloy 309/309S (UNS S30900/S30908) austenitic stainless steel is typically used for elevated temperature applications. Its high chromium and nickel content provides comparable corrosion resistance, superior resistance to oxidation, and the retention of a larger fraction of room temperature strength than the common austenitic Alloy 304.
Stainless steel 310/310S is an austenitic heat resistant alloy with excellent resistance to oxidation under mildly cyclic conditions through 2000°F. Its high chromium and nickel contents provide comparable corrosion resistance, superior resistance to oxidation and the retention of a larger fraction of room temperature strength than the common austenitic alloys like Type 304. Stainless 310 is often used at cryogenic temperatures, with excellent toughness to -450°F, and low magnetic permeability.

Production Flow about stainless steel sheet Raw materials are sending to hot rolling units for rolling into different sizes Hot rolled material is annealing in cold rolled annealing furnace and pickling in acid. All mill rolls are grinded on precision grinding machine with proper chamfering after first shift operation. All sheets are pickled in different tanks and dried on brush roll machine before dispatched. These sheets are again annealing and are sent to straighten machine for straightening. Inspections are done at various stages.
